If you or your wife worked for the Federal Gov't, there would be no such
thing as being denied care for "pre-existing conditions". Read your wife's
contract very carefully. Often the "pre-existing" clause bars treatment only
for 6 to 12 months.
And if you have a browser, go to the House web server and get some of the
pending legislation. There is more than one health reform bill making the
rounds of Congress. Many of them speak to reform of the "pre-existing
condition" problem.
