CB>CB>SE>I won't quibble about the price. $25 including
CB>CB>Okay! I'll ship is in a day or two, when I get the chance.
CB>I managed to ship it Thursday.
CB>Or, I might be willing to trade it for something:
CB> An IDE HD, 100m at least. To be used as a second drive.
CB> Some registered shareware comm programs ({COMMO}, Telemate, Telix,
CB> etc.) Preferably with letter of transference.
CB> Turbo C++ for Windows, visual edition, or BC 3.1 (Or any other decent
CB>  C/C++ compiler, OTHER THAN TC++ 3.0 for DOS.)
CB> A good WYSIWYG word processor for DOS. Such as GeoWrite.... I
CB> used to use the V1.0(?) under DR-DOS 6 and SuperStor and it ran fine,
CB> but when I later moved to MS-DOS 6.2, it trashed my HD. It was
CB> probably just a fluke, but I don't really want to risk it again, so
CB> I'd prefer something a bit newer, such as the 2.x version. I've
CB> never really cared much about GEOS itself, but I've never had it all,
CB> just GeoWrite. The word processor was fairly decent, but I had a
CB> hard time finding fonts and clip art for it.
CB> An old single or 2x speed CD-ROM.
CB> a hand scanner.
CB> Or maybe something I haven't thought of.
CB>If you need to contact me about it, since it's off topic here, you can
CB>reach me in the FIDO 'Classified' or the 'For Sale' echos. You probably
CB>get at least one of them on your board. You could try net-mail, but my
CB>outgoing netmail is very slow and sometimes unreliable, since the sysop
CB>insists on doing it 'routed' and some nodes actually block passage of
CB>routed net-mail.
Today, Friday, I happened to see somebody selling it for
quite a bit less....
I know you agreed to $25 without hesitation or an attempt to bargain, but
I know how I'd feel, so.... I'm willing to knock off $10 from my price.
(His didn't include shipping, and that was $5 for 1st class.)
Or, as I said above, I'd be willing to trade.
(Oh, the other day, I also saw somebody selling SuperStor 2.1 disk
compression. That's a more advanced version than what is built into
DR-DOS. If you are interested, I could hunt and maybe find that guy
again. It was in a non-FIDO echo, so I'm not sure if you'd be able to
contact him...)
Well, better let this drop before the moderator speaks up, since it _is_
off topic.
