subject: what do I have here?

I did get to some of it yesterday, and am still digesting it. Why that
reaction? It doesn't seem to be a bad board based on anything that I'm
seeing, though most don't seem to think much of the onboard sound and
video capabilities. It does seem to run just a bit faster with the same
CPU and RAM as I was using, too.

It works.

They're also there.

Video, as it turns out.

RJT> Then there's a 3-pin header on the other side of the sound

Yeah.

PR> What's the BIOS number on screen when it says "Press 'DEL' for

I'd have to make a note of it, which means rebooting, and it's up and
working at the moment...

RJT> Your comments on this odd board?

PR> Anything else available? I wouldn't want that chipset. PC-Chips
PR> has been a real rip-off artist. Stole chipsets, and an AMI BIOS.

Really? I took that "M571" number that was in another post and
did a google search on it, first hit got me to a site with all sorts of
info, I didn't see anything else on it that ties in with what you're
talking about here...

Any comments from all of you guys with regard to chipsets, board makers,
etc. would be of some interest.
