subject: Problem solved. :-)

Hi Mark,

MD> RG> I'd estimate there has been at least 1500
MD> RG> messages that simply haven't made it to Oz. :-(

Probably now reached over 2000 :-(

 MD> Geez )-: Hope the Yanks don't think we're ignoring them (:

Well, considering it is really only us two that make any significant
postings, and *I've* been doing my bit by posting my words of wisdom
from over there I doubt that many of them have noticed the difference.

BTW, we are not alone in being cut off.. it appears that the source of
the problem is with the feed to DBAR.. Steve Craik tells me about the
only mail he has been getting is our discussions.

MD> Not me, I ain't got one! (: No other
MD> problems found except those I've
 MD> mentioned to you..

Thats about two problems, and half a dozen suggestions ;-)

MD> RG> This sort of suggestion is what I'm
MD> RG> after in my "survey" form. (you
 MD> RG> *have* read that haven't you ?)
 MD>
MD> Yep.. I'm even half way through filling it out!

Gee, your supposed to be using it for a coupla of months first..
Oh yeah, I forgot.. you *have* been using it for a coupla months :-)

MD> Having started that its perhaps a bit too big and daunting

Yeah, I only hope that it doesn't turn too many people off :-(

 MD> but is obviously comprehensive..

It needed to be, so as to cater for just about every aspect of the
program.. some of the "insignificant" things, such as the PAL/NTSC
settings are things people don't/won't normally comment on. So by
"spelling it out" I may find that no-one *ever* changes this from the
default, therefore I'd be better of by dropping it as an option and
saving a fair bit of memory in the process.
OTOH, if I find that there is just *one* user that needs to change it
then dropping it will be a big mistake.

BTW, I have actually set up (well, I'm setting up) a database
(Superbase) to compile any and all the this feedback I get (thats why
most questions are yes/no type answers.

Cheers
Rod
