subject: Invalid FCS on modem, what?

Replying to a message from dsbrain{at}neosplice.com 1:2624/801 to All,

About Invalid FCS on modem, what?, On Tue May 20 2003

dn> better than my internal USR 56K. The only thing is I see that in
dn> about 2 hrs I've gotten this error over 30 times: "error [NETW]
dn> Invalid fcs". What does this mean and what can I do to stop it, or

In the old modem to modem days that would translate into CRC errors and
step down in speed. I get tons of them on occasion with my internal USR
56K internal..Mind you I have a double filtered line that is still very
dirty. And Telus will not fix it..I figure new copper would go a long
ways.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

We are a fine board trying to make it better.
