actually, when the caprice and other B-body cars like it were redesigned in 
'77 to fit on a smaller frame, i believe that it depended on the suspension 
package you got..  cause i know my '78 88 has the 5" on 4 3/4" but if you got 
a bigger 10 bolt axle and/or and bigger engine (403 in my case) you would 
have the 5" on 5" bolt circle.  my mom's '90 custom cruiser has that.
