Depends on the plug, but I've not had real good luck with that sort of thing. We'll see. Odds are I probably am not going to end up using that onboard stuff anyway, at least for the time being. The stuff I'm reading seems to indicate that it has a performance penalty attached, particularly the onboard video. And the one time I booted linux with the sound chip enabled the linux kernel found it and recognized it, but also said something about working around the peculiarities of that chip, I can't recall the exact wording now. It'd be different if I was looking at having to go out and buy video and sound cards, but I already had 'em on hand here, not having the built-in stuff on the other boards, so they're in there. What CPU chip are you running in yours?
