DM> Generally speaking: Through 1964 they are marked Fender Electric
DM> Instruments From 1965 and later they are marked Fender Musical
DM> Instruments.
Well, mine is FMI... CBS, I guess, then. At least it's still a Leo
Fender design. :)
DM> On the tube chart there should be a two-letter code that is stamped on
DM> there. The first letter they used was C for '53 that runs through Q for
DM> 1967.
DM> The second letter is the month. A=January and L=December.
DM> If the chart is damaged or missing, chanses are very good it's a '65
DM> thru '67 just based on the FMIC on the front panel.
It's still in my family van, which is sitting in my garage (thank god
it's warm out), so I can't take a look at it right now. I'll check tomorrow.
I know it still has the chart in it, but I'm not sure what's still there or
not because it's ripped a tiny bit. I'll have to pop the back "cage" off to
get a good look at it because it's always in the way when I try to look back
there. The chassis is also stamped in the back on the right side if
that'll heLes Paul date it any.
