| subject: | Server backups to NAS device |
From: Richard B. Okay, I've got my NAS devices and I'm playing around with them. The purpose of these devices is to backup my other servers for disaster recovery purpose...every so often we get hurricanes here that knock over stuff. I'm trying to decide between imaging and backup software. I was thinking imaging but since the original server might have been destroyed, the image might need to go on new hardware. Does that present a problem...I would think so. Does anyone here do backups for disaster recovery along these lines? This is a small business scenario, I don't have redundant servers. I've contact several vendors (Veritas and CDS for backup software) and am waiting for their response. - Richard --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
