From memory one of the IQ12345s, but their model numbering was so
confusing that I've probably garbled the particular one involved.

It did actually autobaud on the ATZ properly as far as the speed used
for a RING after that, but just couldnt run the port speed at higher
than the line speed to allow you to take advantage of the start and
stop bit stripping at the error correction protocol level.

Even the Hayes 2400 wont run the port speed >2400 coz it
doesnt even have any error correction, but it does do the
ATZ auto bauding fine, say with 1200 and 2400 etc.
