Did you UNLOCK the keyboard before you tried to program it?  I've got an 04AT 
that should be the same.  There's two buttons on the side of the radio, one 
is the PTT the other is the Lock/Unlock button.  You have to hold it down 
while you press the D key, or was that the C key...I'm doing this from 
memory...Let me get back to you, after I've looked at mine again...
If the keyboard is unlocked, holding down the A or B key makes it scan up or 
down, I think.  That should make it change the display.
 I'll have to dig up the manual to see what it is that you may have done.
