> Since I live in Geezer Gardens I just got back from the residents only
(early)
> Christmas Dinner, 108 $10 prepaid reservations I was told. I sat at
the "BIG"
> table, round seats 9 of which I knew 4 people (2 by name and 2 by
sight, the
> others I'd never seen). The other tables, also round, seat 7 (some I
knew and
> most I don't, yet). I think the menu was: Dinner roll, butter, coleslaw,
> fruit salad, sweet potato pie, green beans, carrots, mashed spuds,
brown gravy,
> ham, and prime rib (with au jus). Desert was more fruit salad, strawberry
> cheese cake, and bread pudding. Open bar(ish), a blended red wine,
Cabernet
> Sauvignon, sparkling cider, Champagne (I think), and Chardonnay. I got
pretty
> stuffed but brought home a slab of ham for either diced ham 'n eggs
and/or a
> ham 'n cheese sandwich. Oh yeah...a little bit of yummy very fatty
prime rib.
Good to see someone is at least occasionally
feeding you.
Chances are dimming for my visiting you in
the land of green and warmth; if I'm
ambulatory I might try to catch a week at
he tail end of your stay, but don't count
on it from either Lilli or me.
Happy new year to everyone by the way.
