subject: Guidelines problems

I'm having problems getting Guidelines 2.1A to work. It installs fine
IF I tell it not to create the WPS folder. If I do tell it to create
the WPS folder, it creates the folder on the desktop and two objects
inside it, then fails to create a sub-folder and quits the install.
When I run guide.exe (after rebooting to let the changes to CONFIG.SYS
take affect, of course), I get a PM message box with the title "Warning"
and the message "GUI1021: Guidelines is not installed properly. Please
re-install using the provided installation program."

I am using OS/2 2.0 + SP#2 (XR06100), which is supposedly equivalent to
2.1 without MMPM and WinOS/2 3.1, rather than OS/2 2.1. I am willing to
upgrade to 2.1(1) now _if_ doing so will enable me to run Guidelines.
On the other hand, if the problem I'm having is unrelated to the version
of OS/2 I'm running, I would prefer to wait a little longer to upgrade
(until my financial situation improves... ).

Anyone have advice or suggestions?
