The TMWin help system is much better than the TMDos one ;-)

I renamed the Telemate *.DOC files with a "_" as the first char so they
show up first in the picklist, and put them in the default dir that the
Telemate internal Editor and Viewer point to.
Then a quick "Alt-V", "TAB", followed by "F4" and I'm searching
for whatever I'm interested in. Then "F5" for repeat searches. Extremely
quick once you've done it a few times. Works online, offline, and during
file transfers. Haven't had to use the TMDos internal help system yet!

Completely unnecessary unless you're shelled out to DOS or running an
external protocol, making TM's internal multithreading unavailable. But
then the internal help system is unavailable also.
If you want to edit/annotate/customize the *.DOC files for some reason,
just use the internal Editor instead of the Viewer. TM's internal editor
has always been one of my favourite parts of the program. Why other
terminal programs don't have such a tool, I can't say!
