Okay then. QDI Computer (wholesaler) in Melbourne had WD 1GB drives last
month for $510. Add 21% sales tax, that's about $567 say, and add say 10%
profit (not sure if this is reasonable or not).. $560 + 21% = $617, over
$200 less than your price.

QDI Computer, 30/170 Forster Road, Mt Waverley 3149, Vic. Just a happy
customer; have bought two motherboards, two CPUs and a graphics card from
them in the past.

Note that I don't actually sell computers. But I do build them for my own
use (and friends) and the above are prices I would expect to pay from a
retailer.

I bought a 420mb drive for $285 late January (from a retailer). QDI's price
is $230 + 21% = $270, so this was less than 10% profit obviously.
