Hi Roy! :-) RJT> Maybe not a 64M limit, but there do seem to be limits out there, RJT> and I'm still finding out what some of them are. Well, I have one VIA MVP3 socket 7 motherboard that still works, and there the cacheable limit of the 1 MB motherboard cache is 256 MB. I only have lowly 133 MHz IBM CPU for that, though, since the K6-2 450 MHz died because the fan failed (over a weekend, so nobody was there to hear the overheat alert sounds). RJT> I wonder why that K6-3 is so scarce? Can't say, but around here it was more difficult to get a K6-3 than a K6-2 when both were current processors. RJT> No matter, even a 500MHz K6-2 will give me a RJT> 2-1/2 times speed increase over what I'm running now, and I RJT> wouldn't have any complaints about that whatsoever! :-) Yep, 500 MHz is a good enough workhorse for most things.
