Yes but not as readily available in this neck of the woods as they seem to
be there. The usual suppliers, where locals as a rule shop, don't supply
these things and are pushing the 'hardware' that is most suitable to what
Microsoft wants their 'customers' to have. It has been this way for some
time now which has forced people like myself to look elsewhere or wait for
Microsoft to release a new version of Windows so that their customers
abandon their older hardware (the good stuff) so that I can pick it up for
a song, if not for nothing other then to take the time to go get it. I've
been operating this way for well over a decade now. I can even find stuff
'new' (ie unused) simply because of stock that never got sold and Microsoft
doesn't support or never did support.

Add to this IBM selling it's PC division and I doubt very much the quality
of PC's and future peripherals will be of any consequence to people like
myself. The server market looks vastly more attractive and I see lots of
abandonware there that can be had for a song. :-)

That is different situation then here then.

Exactly. That is the situation here as far as normal, business as usual,
is concerned.

Life is good,
Maurice
