i've never paid for any repair to any of my USR Courier modems... i'm
pretty sure that all of them have been out of "warranty",
whatever that is... i've never looked at the paperwork that came with
them... i've always just called them, worked thru the testing with their
tech, gotten an RMA and shipped it to them on my dime... they've shipped
back on theirs... since 3COM had them, i've gotten back new boxed modems in
shrinkwrap that have matched the model and/or capabilities of the modem i
sent in for repair...
