Eh? Aren't you contradicting yourself here?

Anyway, the 2400/1200 connect problem with the Thunder was me and,
AFAIK, Paul's description above is accurate. IOW there were *no*
problems with his other modem, *nothing* was changed here when the
problem started, and *nothing* was changed here when the problem went
away.
