Rod, at 20:06 on Mar 28 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley...
BG> No, but the manual DOES tell you that you need

PE> No it doesn't.
RS> He's right, thats only mentioned in the &B2 command, which hardly anyone
RS> actually uses. Soorree, that line of yours at the top is a dud Bill.
I've already posted these quotes to Paul...
======================================================================
The following command example substitutes several user-defined defaults
for factory settings. The modem also stores the port rate, word length
and parity it detects from the AT command prefix.
AT X1 &B0 &M5 &H0 M3 &W
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Word length* 8
Parity* 0 None
DTE rate* (Kbps) 19.2 _
* Detected by the modem from the AT prefix of the &W command that
writes your defaults to NVRAM. Set your software to the desired word
length, parity, and serial port rate defaults before sending the modem
the AT . . . &W string.
=========================================================================
And the second one is repeated in its entirety at least EIGHT times.
BG> Fucking bullshit. I've already posted that part of the
BG> manual which states this, so I won't be bothering again.
RS> Probably wise, it doesnt actually support your claim.
Not my problem if your comprehension skills are somewhat lacking. :)
Regards, Bill
