Dear Val,
I know this won't reach you in time for this trip, but perhaps it might
help on a future trip. When we hit the road and i don't want to leave my
cardmaking behind, i stamp up a bunch before i go and then take along
several of my color systems. A card can be colored in just a small space
[where a stamping set up requires a larger space and preferably sturdya nd
standing still]. I did that this week when we had to go to an out of town
hospital. I did kick myself for not taking a small hand pencil sharpener as
i wore down some that i wanted to go on useing. Anyway, it worked out well.
It also drew attention from the passers by. [I always consider that fun.]
Have you tried to make any pop up cards yet?
I have been trying to convince myself that i don't need any more stamps.
I figured it out and if i pay $12 for a stamp [comman price for one that
fills the entire front of a card] and do 24 stampings with it,[and who wants
to color more than that of one thing?] then it is costing me $.50 per card
for just the front stamping [without the inks, powders, card stock or
anything i put inside plus envelope.]. If i didn't enjoy the whole thing so
much, i would consider this a loseing propasition. I suspect that all
told, it costs me more to make than even the expensive cards from the store.
Well as long as we are already in it---------full speed ahead!!!!
Shalom, the Lily Lady
