And they were even-handedly neutral.  Allied aircrews that landed or
crash-landed in Switzerland were interned.  I also note that after our
forces were in France they considered crossing part of Switzerland to get
to Germany, Switzerland was prepared to actively oppose such a crossing of
its territory and it didn't happen.
