| subject: | ANY IDEA`S FOR `FOLDING` |
MK>Clemens, MK>You should look for the "customized EPM" package from the EPM guys. Look MK>for file CSTEPM.ZIP at watson.ibm.com or ftp-os2.cdrom.com or CompuServe. MK>This has code folding (source and .EX). The method they use is to change MK>the font of the folded code to be microscopic. This has its drawbacks, as MK>your cursor can get "lost" in the folded code. Another idea I had was to MK>move folded code to an invisible file (or, as you say, an array). This MK>means you have to hook into defsave, though. MK>Good luck... For myself, and the benefit of others who don't know ... What is folding anyway ? .. sounds interesting .. While I'm on the topic I have a couple of EPM problems that really annoy me... First, how can I get the thing to start up with EXPAND OFF. ? I hate the code expansion because my fingers automatically do it for me. I mean it cuts in when I have already typed parts of what it is expanding. It forces me to shut it off each time I use the editor, or it forces me to make a mental effort to be aware of it's presence. The second problem on a PS/2 I use at the office is that the CUA acclerators option has no effect. I am used to typing things like ALT-F to get the files menu, but I am forced to use the mouse instead. With CUA Accelerators either checked or unchecked they do not operate at all. I have not had this particular problem with EPM on any other machine. Re-installed and still had no effect. I have even taken a good look at the INI files and found nothing that would look like the source of the trouble. ___ * MR/2 1.52 NR * I run Windows ... can I park in the handicapped space? --- WILDMAIL!/WC v3.50x* Origin: Freezing Point BBS - WDNet HQ - Mpls MN: (1:282/85.0) SEEN-BY: 54/54 620/243 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 413 430 807 808 809 SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 2442/0 @PATH: 282/85 1 270/101 396/1 3615/50 229/2 2442/0 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 @PATH: 711/934 |
