MR> I had considered this in the past as well, though I could not get my MR> Telegard Blue wave door running with netserial either. Not until I MR> started running it asa door from sync did BW door start working. The BlueWave door has been causing me no end of grief so it's temporarily not available. I posted a message in this echo a while back about the problem I have with the door; mainly its insistence on adding my FidoNet node number to *every* message uploaded through the door, even messages for other networks. The only reason I'd run NetSerial is to bring up Cam-Blue 1.22 which is the only functional (besides BlueWave itself) BlueWave-compatible maildoor for PcBoard. PcbWave 1.10 doesn't even run (runtime 200 error). Cam-Blue runs butCam DeBuck is nowhere to be found and the door runs in "demo" (unregistered)mode which means the packets are DEMO.001, DEMO.002, etc. I don't like that. So it's either just QWK and $0 towards NetSerial (I use NetFoss 1.0 which workslike a champ) or $25 for NetSerial (to run Cam-Blue 1.22 and then I can't register the Cam-Blue door). MR> I like You have registered the PCB bw door and Cam mail. Back in the MR> days when offline mail was real heavy it was worth it. I'd have to MR> give netserial anotherlook with PCB. Back in the day, I purchased keys for MarkMail, QMail, RoseMail and KMail. I tried out DjMail (free QWK door) as well. Shoot, I even had the MegaMail door installed and working. Remember the UTIs? :-) Cam-Mail and Cam-Blue came out after I took my BBS down the first time; otherwise I'm sure that I would have registered them as well. :) I do not havekey-files for Cam-Mail or Cam-Blue. MR> time being? Not even close to being that far. I just set this one up MR> in PCB for now, Just to see if I could and to give me something to MR> work with. But I have tried a fake qwk download and it worked. I opend MR> the packet with a BW reader and it wasfine. The BlueWave reader will work with QWK packets as well; my problem is with the BlueWave door itself. :-) --- QScan/PCB v1.20a / 02-1000* Origin: The BABBLE BBS * Tucson * babblebbs.no-ip.org * (1:114/201) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/300 400 34/999 90/1 120/228 123/500 132/500 134/10 140/1 SEEN-BY: 222/2 226/0 236/150 249/303 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 SEEN-BY: 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 633/104 260 262 267 712/848 800/432 801/161 SEEN-BY: 801/189 2222/700 2320/100 2905/0 @PATH: 109/201 568 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
