I am thinking of experimenting with a ISA Network Card in my 486 and connecting it to a Wired Router that has a DSL Modem connected to it. First of all, Do I need software for the 486 (BTW w/Win3.1) to be able to talk to the Network Card after I plug it in? I still have Arachne on that 486 box, any idea of what I need to do to get Arachne to to work through the Router? A long time ago I have tried Arachne out on a Dial-up Account and it worked OK, about the same as Netscape did using W3.1. The Network Card is a old 10 Mc/s card. * SLMR 2.1a #T348 * 2400 bps used to seem so fast. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 123/140 500 379/1 633/267 |
