GS>My Good Wishes and Prayers go to you and the new Chick.
GS> Gene. Shields
Thank you Gene.
Unfortunately the Lory chick didn't make it. We had to take it on the
road and had a power inverter in the van so we could use the heating
pads and brooders there. It malfunctioned without our knowledge in
between two hour feedings. The indicator light was still on as if it was
working and we did not know it. It was a chilly night for Fla and the
baby got too cold. All the others are ok.
I guess this was a hard lesson to test run the electrical equipment if
possible.
We were forced by Walmart to accept an exchange. We know they don't have
any more. If this one even hisses once we are taking it back. It will
only handle 50W, but it was the only one we could find anywhere. Damark
catalog advertised one this month for only $20 more that can handle
300W.
Again thanks for caring. I truly feel had this not occured the lory
would have been allright. He seemed strong and spunky!
