JERRY SCHWARTZ was thinking about TURKEY and keyed into cyberspace:
JS>JS>> We had the same problem with the homework, by the way, except
JS>JS>> that o started forging "no homework" in his book.
JS>MP> Been there, done that. Did you catch my post about this? I
JS>finally got
JS>Yes. My son, unfortunately, was more motivated to avoid homework
JS>than the teachers were to fill in the book.
Then we gotta motivate the teachers. Go to the principal. If your son
has a homework book, show the homework book to the principal and ask if
it is more important to have your son write the HW down or for him to do
it. Your next action depends on the answer:
If the principal says it is more important for your son to write
it down, realize that you are dealing with and educrat, thank him for
his time, and make an appointment to see the superintendent. If this
does not work, then let me know. I have a real effective way for you to
fix this.
If the principal says it is more important that your son do his
homework, then ask him to require that the teachers record the homework
in writing. IOW, he writes a memo to the teachers and tells them to do
their job. Ask for a copy of the memo.
The one thing I enjoy more than debunking twits is making educators
educate.
