| subject: | Workframe 2.1 |
PF>I'm not a stupid person; it just doesn't seem to work. PF>Has anyone successfully installed Workframe 2.1, to the PF>point where it actually does anything? I haven't got it working. I've only spent less than a day trying to get it working (so I guess I could be accused of not trying too hard), but the amount of time I've spent trying to install it is greater than the amount of time it could possibly save me in the forseeable future. I do not recommend that anyone attempt to use Workframe 2.1 at least until IBM make it a single installable product. This installation process where you have to install the old version 1.0 before 2.1 is ridiculous. There is no way that a product such as Cset++ with the toolkit etc should have a particular order of installation of the different things (Workframe, C compiler, toolkit, etc). This means that if I buy a new version of one of these (or get it from a DevCon) I'll have to install the whole lot again! Could someone with contacts in IBM please forward my complaints. cya PS I've modified your program that changes the speed of the mouse cursor to accept command line parameters and released it with an EXE. I hope you don't mind, it is fully attributed to you of course. ___ X MR/2 2.0 NR X It is NOT because of IBM's incredible marketing skill! --- Maximus/2 2.01wb* Origin: Multi - 61-3-739-7145 (3:633/363) SEEN-BY: 54/54 620/243 632/301 348 365 386 998 633/104 252 260 357 363 371 SEEN-BY: 633/373 634/384 635/210 502 503 636/100 638/100 640/820 690/660 SEEN-BY: 711/409 413 430 807 808 809 934 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 2442/0 @PATH: 633/363 260 371 635/503 632/348 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
