  Perhaps a decent copyright lawyer is needed, but I was under the
  opinion that you could copyright a document, but that you could not
  copyright a name.  There is a subtle distinction.  If you write a new
  document and call it FTS-0001, you have not used any of the copyright
  material that was in the old FTS-0001 -- you have only used the label.
  If I recall correctly, labels (e.g. McDonald) can only be trademarked,
  not copyrighted.
