The Copperhead round-nose do have the same weight and appear to have the
same designed shape as the Premiers. They are not made to the same
standards, and perhaps not even by the same type of equipment.
The Copperheads will often have an obvious molding line dividing the
pellet in half. Very few will be distorted and with extrusions along that
line. Most will be pretty darn good, and any of the Copperhead styles
are a lot better than any of the other brands of "plinking grade"
pellets. I use em when I can get em cheap enough. Sometimes you
will pay as much for Copperheads as for Premiers. Not a good buy
unless you specifically want wadcutters or pointed. Premiers are only
round nose.
In a box of Premiers, they are just plain all "perfect" and all
alike. Each box has a die no. on it, and all pellets in that box
were made from that exact same die. Maximum shooting uniformity
within that lot.

I haven't been able to find Crossman Premier pellets anywhere around town.
But at the local Sportmart they sell Crossman Copperhead pellets.
Are they the same as Premiers?
Weigh 14.3 grains (.22 cal) and come in 3 flavors: round-nose, pointed, and
wadcutter. All weigh the same. They're sold in little red plastic vessels
with a snap-lid.
They shoot nicely and they dirty my barrel as Premiers apparently also do.
Should I keep looking, or have I found Premiers already?
