I have been hearing this, and decided to go back and read P4 again
with respect to what you say. I first note that you probably meant
to say "accept netmail from all other systems" based on that PC that
you filed -- but you did not say that, even though you are acting as
if it is what you (and P4) mean.
When I read P4 carefully, I do not see that it says that a non-PVT
node must accept netmail from any system. In contrast, what I read
in several places is a variant on the phrase "be able to accept
netmail". There is a world of difference between "be able to
accept"
and "must accept".
Could you tell us what part of P4 justifies the interpretation of
"must accept"?
