Rod, at 06:47 on Apr 13 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... RS> Yeah, lasting a surprisingly long time. Presumably its either RS> a hardware failure or someone has gone away like Dave Hatch. I know that Marwick has two main southern feeds, and as far as I can tell, one of them has dried up completely over the past 7-10 days. Might be James Collins' system in the Brisbane Valley, but I can't be sure about that. RS> What about the stuff that Alwyn imports direct from OS, surely that RS> stuff hasnt died as well ? Tho MB you dont read any of those yourself. BG> Only HS_MODEMS, and that's been completely dead as well. It's a worry. RS> Odder and odder. You cant even blame it on some problem with the internet RS> feed from the US, albeit thru two different routes as far as I am aware. RS> That doesnt explain why the stuff like Zone3_Tech has had nothing. Z3T is a good example of what's happening, too. Still mail from people in FNQ and SA (and a trickle from Vic), but nothing from NZ or Sydney that I can tell. Probably the same old problem of somebody's system running perfectly for 11 months, then crashing the very day they walk out the door for a 2-week holiday. Mr Murphy has struck again, it would appear... Regards, Bill --- Msgedsq/2 3.20* Origin: Logan City, SEQ +61 7 3200 8606 MO (3:640/305.9) SEEN-BY: 640/305 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
