When I was on the Alaska RR 'bout 2 years back there was quite a bit of 
competition on wildlife spotting.  The engineer always called out significant 
critters for the crew, and I was quite the hero listening to the scanner back 
near the end of the train, I could tell everyone which direction to look in 
plenty of time for everyone to get a good view.
