I might agree for Word or Excel, but for security software all it takes is
one bug to make it useless. Again I give you the example of blackice and
the recent blackice worm. Just one bug and not only is the software
useless, it's totally counterproductive.
But I see now that you are just picking on my calling it "buggy"
which really isn't what I meant. I don't mean it's full of bugs like it
sounded (sorry about that). I just mean one or two bugs in a security
product makes it or at least can make it totally unfit for use.
I should add however that I do agree with you that it's only vaporware
until it's publicly available in some form (either beta or gold code
counts).

Buggy is not the opposite of bug free. Is you home buggy? Is it bug
free? I suspect the answer to both questions is no. As for the meaning of
complete, use a dictionary.

If it's not complete then it's certainly not bug free.

It's not complete. You have a wrong idea of what beta means.
