What you all don't seem to realise is that the speed difference is caused
by differing block sizes used in the transfer tests. Different drives will
give different results using different block sizes, all depending on their
chip cache size and algorithm used in that cache. For instance, force
CORETEST to use 2048 byte blocks in its test (type CORETEST /?) and see
what results you get. Funny thing is, most transfers occur in DOS using 2K
or 4K blocks.
I think you will find the block size that CheckIt Pro defaults to is
DIFFERENT to that in Coretest!
