Like Albert Belle, Frank Thomas is a great offensive player, with
limited value on defense. My defense of Thomas' defense has basically
been limited to comparing him to such players as Edgar Martinez and Paul
Molitor who can no longer play defense.
It is interesting, I recall what when the Yankees attempted to win with
a roster filled with first basemen and designated hitters. The Yankees
failed. One wonders the White Sox will do.
