        If you're prepared to travel a bit, or have a friend planning to
travel, you might be in luck... Computer shops in Hong Kong sell 28.8k
internal Zoltrix fax/modems with DOS comms & fax software for about
$A215, complete with onboard 16550A UART...

        No Austel permit, of course, but you did say you wanted cheap!
