-> In the past week, I've managed to find good homes for both the female
-> cherry-head babies (the same ones who have been here for 6 months
-> now)! The older one went to a woman who has purchased two of my baby
-> cockatiels in the past. She's now named after her mother, "Cherry",
-> and is already settled into her new home quite well, and is spoiled
-> beyond belief.
->
-> The younger one went to a woman who suddenly lost her pet Quaker last
-> year; the cause of death was not able to be determined thru necropsy.
-> After a period of self-education, she decided to get another bird
-> and do it RIGHT this time. (her words, not mine). She called me
-> once just to pick my brain about another bird she was considering,
-> and after talking to me for two hours, decided to get one of MY
-> babies instead.
-> This baby (who was the middle child of the three) isn't settling in
-> to her new home quite as well. It's obvious she misses her
-> siblings--she found a decorative mirror in the living room, and
-> cuddled up tightly against it, crying herself to sleep (which made
-> her new mom cry!). She's eating, but not yet as much as the owner
-> thinks she should.
-> Does anybody have any ideas I can pass on to the new mom about how to
-> get this baby over the sudden loss of both her siblings (who she's
-> lived with for 6 months)?

-> PS--the big baby boy cherry-head is probably staying here.
