Even if you use imaging, fixing it for new hardware is a simple upgrade
install (unless it's XP).

You go thru like you were doing an install, it asks if you want to upgrade,
say no, it goes thru some install stuff and asks what partition, you tell
it, it checks for previous versions and finds one and asks AGAIN if you
want to upgrade and you say yes at that point. It does a nice upgrade then
only changing hardware and asking for the serial number again.
