I have left a message on FD's website, but no > answer so far (possibly due to the weekend). > Well I run FD on a fast machine... The multi-line version doesn't have that error U R talking about... I have the DOS version working on a P4 and the OS2 flavor working on a pentium. I recall way back when the newer version of FD were coming out... 2.3?? what not.. they were working out the telnet connection stuff. It's mentioned in the documentation. On the DOS side I use com/ip with no problems and on the OS2 side I use Ray's SIO VMODEM. I upgraded recently to the OS2 version and had a chance to email Matts Can I ask U what your goals are?? Is it just sending mail to a BBS?? There are other options.. InterNET Rex will work... kinda feels like FD.. Argus is good...and free. But I'll tell U something it's hard to setup, not that it can't be done... just harder.. and free :) The hub I call to get mail uses Binkley.. it seems to work fine... it's free too. Anyway, back to FrontDoor. Ask yourself a question or 2... Who am I getting my mail from?? What options do they have... and aline yourself with your hub. Now I can tell U this.. though I receive my mail via FD over the internet... the frustration loop early in the game. :) IB JOE AKA Joe Schweier Sysop of joesbbs.com --- SBBSecho 2.10-Win32* Origin: Joe's Computer & BBS -=joesbbs.com=- (1:275/312.1) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 275/312 396/45 106/2000 633/267 |
