From: "Frank Haber" Rich is right - practicaly no one gets a free S/MIME (X.509-RSA) cert from Thawte et. al. Those that care about these things are usually PGP and Open Source oriented. I think Eudora still supports only PGP. I never got one. I just went to Thawte, and, though a couple of links from the pulldown at the top are broken, and the usual link external sites use 404s, you can, with diligence and forty whack^H^H clicks get to the signup form. Has anyone here ever gotten an S/MIME email, encrypted or not? I haven't. No web bugs will be nice, but I now see about 5-10% of the educated crowd deliberately turning on "read as text" in OE on every machine they use. OE is everywhere. I'd like a VBS to do this, BTW, tiny insignificant minority though I am. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
