I'm the same...  I've always figured that it took an interest in
railroads and trains first to enjoy listening to them...  I'd also like

Well..  I'm not from that area, but will also be traveling TO there the
first part of April (or maybe May, I don't remember).  BUT, to get there
from Atlanta, your best route is directly through Eufaula, Alabama..
Wellll.... maybe your second best route, but definitely the most
interesting, and MAYBE the best time wise, sooooo.. let me know when
you're coming through, I'd love to buy you a cup of coffee.  There are
several things I'd like to pick your brain about.  (I can show you some
short cuts that will make your trip much more interesting than taking
Interstate 85 and 65)
