BN> No arguments , except for the minor nit that Kirk isn't the

TA> Huh? Who? When was this mentioned?
OEO> TNG Season 1, Conspiracy. Tryla Scott, a young woman of African
OEO> descent played by Ursaline Bryant, is explicitly stated to be
OEO> the youngest StarFleet Captain ever. Kirk was the youngest in
OEO> his time, taking the centre seat at age 32, but Captain Scott
OEO> obviously fast-tracked just a bit faster than he did. Let's
OEO> face it, TNG season 1 *IS* a century later than TOS season 1...
As I recall, wasn't Scotty stranded inside a sphere for some 75 years when he
made his starring appearance in TNG? Forget the name of the episode, or even
the season, but think it was the first or second season...
Captain Montgomery Scott was trapped in a Transporter feedback loop in a
crashed ship (USS Jenolan, Sydney Class) on the outside of a Dyson Sphere in
the 6th season TNG episode Relics.
However, that isn't the "Captain Scott" we're discussing. Scotty didn't
become a Captain until 2285, at age 63 (STIII:TSFS). Tryla Scott, on the
other tentacle, was in the TNG season 1 episode Conspiracy, when she, Capt.
Walker Keel and Capt. Rixx warned Capt. Jean-Luc Picard about a conspiracy at
the highest levels of StarFleet. She later turned out to be infected with
the Bluegill parasites.
