While writing to disk with an engraving tool, Michael went on about ReLogin..
to Peter Connerty
PC> I'm looking for a way that when my users time is up or they have

MO> You can't really do that, but you could add a "door" that loads the

MO> the easiest way of doing this.
NO.
I tried that, and had to remove it soon after as for some reason it was
grunging my user base (after manually re-entering all the users into a new
set of files (fortunately I could justify dropping the base down to 67 users
:-), and found out the night after that while swapping in and out of a guest
account (while on the same call), every time I went from the gues account
back to my account, the guest account's details would over-write my own
details (fortunately there's another Asst SysOp on the system with access to
the shell who's password I know, so I could copy the backup files into
ace).
Once I can figure out/find an answer to this problem I'll make it available.
Possibly run a MEX file that updates the user base before the next log-in.
It'd be nice if there was a way to make Max believe it had shut down without
it hanging up :-(
MO> You will probably want to use it with Keys so some 10 year old kid
MO> can't create as many accounts as he wants for the cost of one phone
 MO> call..
I created a logoff menu for callers with WORTHY or higher access (with an
option from the CHANGE menu to go into 'normal' log off mode), so only those
who have either made a donation or are toll-callers (which I give higher
access to by default) could access it.
