Cheesy is as cheesy does. Curve tracers are prob. pretty cheap these
days, so you could maybe i.d. a bipolar xtor closely enough. SCRs? Do
some of these pedals employ lamp dimmer ckts (only thing I ever used an
SCR for--and that was in school)? Chips.. why, there can't be any chips
in an analog pedal / box..
I've got to get to one of the hamfests around here in January and get a
good tube tester (another thing I was reminded of when stashing old text
from this echo).
