At least not usually... nor do they do a number of other things...

Were they the same sex...? These two are both female... they were taken
in as feral cats by a (probably) crazy cat lady... there were six cats
there that needed to be rehomed when she died... and there had been at
least a couple of dogs in the house, too... We just brought home the
two littermates... You can't really tell by looking at them, one is
almost totally black (Shadow) and the other is a tuxedo cat with very
even markings (Spook)... (We renamed them after we got them here...)
But we were also given their paperwork from the vet, so we did get
confirmation of what we'd been told about them...
