On 24 Feb 06 10:33:16, MIKE ROSS got back to Dan Ceppa -> Re: MiniScribe MR> Is it the straight 3650 or the 3650R? It's the MFM version. MR> The former is MFM 42.2M 809c 17s 6h, precomp 128, park 852 (?). MR> The latter is RLL about 60M with 32s or 36s not sure now. MR> I don't have the jumper settings but if it wasn't mucked with then MR> using the controller it was originally formatted with it should work. MR> IOW one can't use a different controller mfg/model to access it. MR> MFM/RLL was a bitch for that. I did some hunting on the I-net and found the manual. It has some strange settings... I got it to be partially recognized. I think there's an error on the boot track. A DIR wouldn't give me a full list. :( Now to find my old DOS utilities for one more go at it. I think it has the data base that I want on it. --- OMX/Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Soundly on the Fault Line (1:138/666.0) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 138/666 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
