  Value has nothing to do with it; thieves think it is perfectly 
alright to take whatever they like, any time they like. If you ever 
get he urge to become a master criminal, all you have to be is quick. 
When a witness sees crime happening, it takes a while before they 
believe it and do anything.

  I saw the house across the street being ripped off, but it was not
until I saw the thief come out with the VCR under his arm that I was
certain, and all I managed to do was get the number plate. It turned
out to have been stolen off a van...

  They stole my hose fitting (3 times), with me asleep and my head no
more than 5 feet from the tap outside.
