And they can spread the weed seeds all over their garden plot.  NEVER 
use manure from the farm yard unless you bring it up to a temperature 
from composting for example.  Seeds pass through the animal and plop 
out the rear intact. Chickens and fowl grind the seeds in their gizards 
however chicken manure is powerful stuff, and can burn plants with its 
potenance if not careful.
