Your trip sounds interesting John. I know what you mean by expensive. They 
offer also trips to France that coincide with the tour de France with similar 
routes. As you can imagine the price $$$$. It seems though there are many who 
still go. I'm not one with mucho money so inexpensive trips are more 
interesting for me. What would be nice is if someone was interested in a 
designation, he/she could post it in a bike shop, internet, etc. so others 
could respond to form a small group. Together they could work out car 
pooling, food preparation and what ever is needed. That way a middle person 
would be unnecessary and money would be saved. It takes a little more work 
this way, but in the end everyone comes out more gratified knowing they 
played a part in the organization. Well at least this is food for thought.
I'm not sure John as to organized reasonable priced here in Canada, but I 
will try to find out.
